BACKGROUND:
Maraku, Darius started as an enlisted grunt in the space marines. He excelled in tactics and survival, receiving a number of commendations for valor during his enlistment. Maraku rose to the rank of Master Sergeant before his admittance into the Grand Nebula Naval Academy.
Shortly following his second tour as a department head, twelve years into his career, his homeworld and the orbiting military academy and space station were struck by a terrorist attack during an inter-system summit. Much of the admiralty were killed an still others were brought up on charges of treason and espionage. The remaining commissioned members were promoted and re-assigned. During this time, Darius found himself in command of a specialty tactical vessel.

Since that tumultuous time he and his crew were responsible for locating and extracting a number of those involved in the attack that nearly crippled their military forces.
