Gelnim

 Andris  | Jardinal  |  Gelnim

The massive trees of the Ceis Forest move all the way down until the land forces the trees to a narrow land strip. As the southern continent of Gelnim beings the large majestic trees dwindle and are soon replaced by sickly looking skeletal trees and dry sharp bladed grass. Ultimately even that fades to the pale sandy earth of the Ephran Desert. The sandy expanse covers the southern portion of the continent almost entirely. Though, grooves, and valleys still remain in areas giving sign that perhaps this was once a lush land. The only exception to the arid landscape, aside from the tips of some small mountain ranges, is the southern tip of the continent that turns into a dense jungle. The desert has a few small oases that speckle the barren plane and even fewer large ones. The large ones are the closest thing that the people of the desert, Ephrites, call towns. They are cluttered with the pentagonal white tents and black pennants that display tribal and family emblems. Access to these towns is carefully guarded by the Ephrites and once granted entrance and leave, return is not necessarily assured. Also tents don't remain forever and open locations aren't long vacant.

The only permanent place that the desert people have to reside is a large jagged and  rocky plateau deep in the desert. It has many arms that come off in various directions , arches and small rocky islands among the sand. They all have crevices or caves that lead inward to cooler places which no outlander has ever seen. Much is speculated about what happens inside the rocky city, but there is little hope of gaining any proof from such people.
